Registration Form<\/a>
\n<\/strong><\/span>To obtain a TABS number, complete the registration form and submit along with one set of plans and plan review fee to a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS).
\nThe design professional may also register the project online at the TDLR website<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Once registered, submit the confirmation page<\/a><\/strong> to a RAS along with one set of plans, fee, and Proof of Submission form.\u00a0 If the design professional is registering the project, the TDLR filing fee must be paid prior to receiving the TABS number.\u00a0 The filing fee is paid during the registration process on the TDLR website.

\n<\/strong>Please note, the owner must<\/strong> match what is listed in the local County Appraisal District database, for Real or Commercial property (not Personal). If the property is being sold, the current owner must be listed, and we can update it later with the deed of sale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Owner Agent Designation Form<\/strong><\/a>
\nDesign Professionals, or any other entity that is a third party to the owner, must submit this form if they have been assigned by the Owner to be their Designated Agent.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Limited Liability Form<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe new Limited Liability Owner (LLO) form provides needed documentation for owning entities that are created but have no representatives on staff to sign documents. The new LLO form will be required for all owner entities that have a parent or umbrella entity signing on the owner entity\u2019s behalf. A copy of the Articles of Formation (AOF) or copy of the Texas Secretary of State (SOS) document is also required.<\/span>

Proof of Submission Form<\/strong><\/a>
\nAn architect, interior designer, landscape architect, or engineer with overall responsibility for the design of a building or facility shall mail, ship or hand-deliver the construction documents along with a Proof of Submission form to a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) not later than the twentieth (20) business day after the plans and specifications have been issued.
\n<\/span>Issue – To mail, deliver, transmit, or otherwise release plans or specifications to an owner, lessee, contractor, subcontractor, or any other person acting for an owner or lessee for the purpose of construction, applying for a building permit, or obtaining regulatory approval after such plans have been sealed by an architect, interior designer, landscape architect, or engineer. In the case of a state-funded or other public works project, it is the time at which plans or specifications are publicly posted for bids, after such plans or specifications have been sealed by an architect, interior designer, landscape architect, or engineer.<\/p>\n

Request for Inspection form<\/a><\/b><\/span>
\nUse this form to request an inspection on a project that has been completed.\u00a0 This form is required to be submitted by the Owner or Designated Agent to a Registered Accessibility Specialist before an inspection can be performed.\u00a0 The inspection must be requested no more than 30 days after the project completion date.

Inspection Response Form <\/b><\/span>(Peter Grojean<\/a> \/ Jessica Hamm)<\/a><\/strong>
\nBuilding\/facility owners or their agents may use this form to indicate the status of outstanding violations cited as a result of a Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) inspection.\u00a0 To ensure proper processing, follow each step <\/b> making sure to return the completed form (fax, mail, or hand-deliver) to the Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) that inspected the building\/facility.<\/span><\/p>\n
